A Big Day

Yesterday was a big day for Ansleigh-loo-who! She was officially two months old (I can hardly believe it).
---------------------------------------

She had her 2 month check-up and here were the vitals:

  • She weighs 10 lbs. and 13 oz.
  • She is 22 1/2 inches long
Other things to note: I was told she is advanced for her age because she is saying all her vowels except "u" (a hard one!), can roll over (a 4 month skill), coo's well, can put a significant amount of weight on her legs to stand, can follow objects for 180 degrees, can find mommy's voice, can raise up 90 degrees while lying on her tummy, and can already scoot a little bit!

The bad news was that Ansleigh had to get her first set of shots and she was not a fan...neither was mommy! She did pretty well, only crying AFTER the nurse pulled out the needles. Mommy couldn't watch. She got a Road-Runner band-aid on one leg and a Wile-E-Coyote (sp?) band-aid on the other leg.

She did have a slight reaction to the shots, having a fever on-and-off for about 24 hours which made her a little cranky. We are happy to report that she is all better now!
-------------------------------
Today was Ansleigh's first Valentine's Day! She got cards in the mail from her Lolli & Pop, Aunt Sissy, and GranNana! GranNana's card was her favorite because it had $5 in it and said to tell Mommy to use that money to buy some chocolate to put in her bottle! :o)

Mommy dressed her in her cute Valentine outfit from Lolli on Wednesday because it wasn't practical to wear to the doctor on Thursday. Pictures will be coming soon as Daddy's computer is sick at the moment.

--------------------------------
The best and biggest part of Ansleigh's day was that she got her first visit from Nana & Papa since she was born! She has been having so much fun with her Nana and with her Papa. Papa has decided Ansleigh has a good set of lungs on her. :o) Mommy & Daddy already knew this! The best part is that she gets to hang out with Nana & Papa until Monday morning! Yay! Hopefully soon I can post pictures from her weekend with Nana & Papa!
